Workswell SWR-640CL and Workswell SWR-640USB are SWIR (short wave infrared) cameras manufactured by Workswell. The cameras offer a spectral range of 0.9 to 1.7um and an InGaAs detector with a resolution 640×512, logarithmic response and a dynamic range of better than 140 dB. Automatic internal temperature correction and non uniformity correction (NUC) ensure low noise and high image homogeneity.
The camera is available with USB3 (SWR-640USB) or Camera Link (SWR-640CL) interface. The supplied proprietary software allows you to set all important camera parameters and functions. Besides the basic function of stream and image recording, it is possible to set: integration time, basic image processing algorithms, histogram, palette, manual NUC control and more.

The most common applications of SWIR cameras are the field of machine vision and research where different material properties of SWIR object objects are used. Therefore, SWIR cameras are used primarily in biological research (including microscopic applications) and in the field of production control where different transmissivity (transparency) or reflectivity of the materials are used.
