SIGLENT SDG8000A series arbitrary waveform generators. Exceptional performance with frequencies up to 5 GHz, 16-bit resolution, 12 GSa/s sampling, and up to 4 analog channels.

The SIGLENT SDG8000A series redefines the standards for high-performance function and arbitrary waveform generators. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern R&D laboratories, the semiconductor industry, automotive, and wireless telecommunications, this series combines extreme bandwidth with unprecedented resolution and flexibility.

SIGLENT SDG8000A Arbitrary Waveform Generator
Uncompromising Performance

The SDG8000A series generators offer up to 4 independent analog channels, supporting a maximum output frequency of 5 GHz thanks to an interpolated sampling rate of a massive 12 GSa/s. The 16-bit vertical resolution ensures ultra-high fidelity signal reconstruction, minimizing noise floor and distortion.

  • Up to 4 Analog Channels: Maximum versatility for complex testing on multi-port systems.
  • 16-bit Resolution: Generation of clean signals with very low phase noise and minimized harmonic distortion.
  • Deep Memory: Up to 4 Gpts of memory per channel (optional, 2 Gpts standard), for playing back extremely long and complex signals without sacrificing bandwidth.
  • TrueArb Technology: "Point-by-point" arbitrary waveform generation with low jitter, featuring a variable sampling rate from 100 Sa/s to 5 GSa/s.
  • EasyPulse Technology: Generation of square waves and pulses with low jitter, with fine adjustment of pulse width and rise/fall times (down to 250 ps).

High Quality Restored Signal

The SDG8000A supports a sampling rate of 10 G (with interpolation) or 12 G (with interpolation). The 16-bit vertical resolution ensures a high-quality restored signal.

Higher frequency, larger signal bandwidth 1 Higher frequency, larger signal bandwidth 2
Higher Frequency, Larger Signal Bandwidth

This instrument is equipped with a built-in digital modulator that allows direct radio frequency (RF) output up to 5 GHz, eliminating the need for an external modulator. Paired with the powerful SigIQPro software, this configuration offers a simplified method to create and output signals for a wide range of communication standards, including 5G NR, LTE, WLAN, Bluetooth, and IoT.

The maximum baseband data rate of the SDG8000A is 5 GSa/s, and the maximum modulation bandwidth of the signal can reach 2 GHz using the internal modulator. When outputting baseband and using an external modulator, a signal bandwidth of up to 4 GHz can be supported.

Narrower pulse output
Narrower Pulse Output

With its high data rate, the SDG8000A can generate narrow pulses down to 250 ps, making it ideal for the most demanding pulse testing applications in sectors such as semiconductors and automotive.

High speed serial data output
High Speed Serial Data Output (HSS)

The SDG8000A supports high-speed serial code output with low jitter up to 1.25 Gbps, and is capable of simulating high-speed serial digital communication tests.
