The Fluke 26200900 PRO3000 Analog Tone Generator is the benchmark pocket-sized audio source for tracing, identifying, and verifying non-active copper wiring across residential, commercial office, and industrial installations. Offering extraordinary signal amplification capability, it injects a clear, easily detectable audio tone across cabling runs reaching up to 16 kilometers (10 miles) in length, solving complex location challenges across extended backbone lines.
The generator is equipped with proprietary SmartTone™ technology: by momentarily shorting the two target wires together at the far end of the run, the acoustic tone cadence immediately shifts from a steady sound to an alternating rhythm. This allows an operator equipped with a probe to isolate the exact target pair with 100% certainty across a bundle of hundreds of identical conductors. The standard model features an integrated RJ11 modular telephone plug and heavy-duty traditional alligator clips equipped with insulation-piercing bed of nails.
