Elektro Automatik EA-BIM 20005 is a battery impedance meter (EIS) designed for fast and accurate testing of lithium-ion battery cells. Equipped with 20 multiplexed channels in a 19”, 3U rack form factor, it enables simultaneous measurements with extremely high productivity, making it ideal for large-scale testing applications.
It supports EIS measurements over a wide frequency range from 1 mHz up to 10 kHz, with impedance accuracy better than 1%. The AC stimulus can reach up to 10 A (peak-to-peak), making it perfect for testing cylindrical, pouch, and prismatic cells. Each impedance channel is paired with a 4-wire PT100 temperature measurement channel, allowing both temperature and impedance to be monitored accurately with a single device.
The platform utilizes parallel multi-sine measurement techniques, providing hundreds of times faster performance than traditional swept systems. It integrates a DC power supply up to ±1 A @ 5 V for performing EIS measurements during charge/discharge without disconnecting from the cycling test system.
The meter connects easily to a PC via USB and integrates two CAN interfaces for seamless incorporation into automated test systems. The included software allows configuration, management, and immediate analysis of measurements, even on large volumes of cells.
