The Fluke FI-500TP-AFCF inspection tip is an optical adapter specifically engineered for the FI-500 FiberInspector Micro video microscope, tailored to inspect optical ferrules terminated with an APC (Angled Physical Contact) polish located directly inside bulkhead adapters, patch panels, and active networking equipment featuring threaded FC interfaces.
Unlike inspecting loose external patch cords, examining a bulkhead port requires inserting the probe tip deep into the optical enclosure to image the fiber ferrule installed on the backside of the adapter. The FI-500TP-AFCF tip features exact FC mechanical threading and a precision 8-degree optical tilt, locking the camera firmly to the panel to deliver an ultra-stable image and eliminate alignment guesswork before plugging in new patch cords.
