In this article we present the TekBox RF Amplifiers overview and selection guide. You can see all models at this LINK

TBWA2/20dB, TBWA2/40dB
APPLICATION:
EMC probe amplifier
General purpose wideband RF amplifier
TBWA2 wideband RF amplifiers are versatile building blocks that can easily be integrated into laboratory setups. With a bandwidth of 2MHz to 6GHz they are ideal to boost the signals picked up by our EMC near field probes. The TBWA2 wideband amplifiers are available with 20dB or 40dB gain.

TBHDR1
APPLICATION:
general purpose gain block
pre-amplifier in applications with low noise and high IP3 requirements
pre-amplifier for spectrum analyzers, especially in EMC pre-compliance test applications
Loop antenna amplifier
The TBHDR1 is a high dynamic range amplifier with a frequency range from 30kHz to 1.5GHz. Its gain is characterized up to 6GHz.
The TBHDR1 has a high IP3 and a low noise figure which makes it an ideal alternative pre-amplifier for spectrum analyzers and receivers in EMC test applications. Due to its low noise figure, high IP3 and gain down to the kHz range it also performs very well as amplifier for active loop antennas.

TBDA1/14dB, TBDA1/28dB
APPLICATION: RF driver amplifier
General purpose wideband RF amplifier
TBDA1 wideband driver amplifiers are versatile building blocks that can easily be integrated into laboratory setups. With a frequency range of 40MHz to 3GHz and an output power of + 22 dBm at 1dB compression, they are ideal to boost the amplitude of low power RF sources or to drive power amplifier stages. The TBDA1 wideband amplifiers are available with 14dB or 28dB gain.

TBMDA1
APPLICATION:
Pre-compliance RF immunity testing, driving Tekbox EMC probes or TEM cells
RF driver amplifier
General purpose wideband RF amplifier
The TBMDA1 modulated wideband driver amplifier is designed in order to create an inexpensive signal source for immunity testing of electronic building blocks and products. It is designed to be driven by the tracking generator output of spectrum analyzers. With its gain of 22 dB and 1dB compression point of +22dBm, it can boost the output power of a tracking generator up to 150mW. The TBMDA1 is ideal to drive Tekbox near field probes in order to find the sensitive spot of an electronic circuit or to create electric fields up to 50V/m when driving the Tekbox TEM Cell TBTC1, 25V/m when driving the TBTC2 or 18V/m when driving the TBTC3. Test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM or PM. Consequently, the TBMDA1 provides built in modulation capability to generate 1kHz AM or PM signals. In PM mode, the TBMDA1 can also generate a 217Hz Signal with 12.5% duty cycle in order to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.

TBMDA2
APPLICATION:
General-purpose gain block
Signal source for immunity testing, driving near field probes
Signal source for immunity testing, driving TEM Cells
The TBMDA2 modulated wideband driver amplifier is designed in order to create an inexpensive signal source for immunity testing of electronic building blocks and products. It is designed to be driven by the tracking generator output of spectrum analyzers. With its 1dB compression point of +27dBm, it can boost the output power of a tracking generator up to 500mW. The TBMDA2 is ideal to drive Tekbox near field probes in order to find the sensitive spot of an electronic circuit or to create electric fields up to 170V/m when driving the Tekbox TEM Cell TBTC0, 100V/m when driving the TBTC1, 50V/m when driving the TBTC2 or 30V/m when driving the TBTC3. Test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM or PM. Consequently, the TBMDA2 provides built in modulation capability to generate 1 kHz AM or PM signals. In PM mode, the TBMDA2 can also generate a 217 Hz Signal with 12.5% duty cycle in order to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.

TBMDA3
APPLICATION:
General-purpose power amplifier
Signal source for immunity testing, driving near field probes
Signal source for immunity testing, driving TEM Cells
The TBMDA3 modulated wideband power amplifier is designed in order to create an inexpensive signal source for immunity testing of electronic building blocks and products. It is designed to be driven by the tracking generator output of spectrum analyzers. With an input power range of -5dBm…0dBm, it can boost the output power of a tracking generator up to 5W. The TBMDA3 is ideal to drive Tekbox near field probes in order to find the sensitive spot of an electronic circuit or to create electric fields up to 550V/m when driving the Tekbox TEM Cell TBTC0, 300V/m when driving the TBTC1, 150V/m when driving the TBTC2 or 100V/m when driving the TBTC3. Test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM or PM modulated. Consequently, the TBMDA3 provides built in modulation capability to generate 1 kHz AM or PM signals. In PM mode, the TBMDA3 can also generate a 217 Hz Signal with 12.5% duty cycle in order to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.
