KEYSIGHT AP5042A is a dual-channel, ultra-agile, and phase-coherent vector signal generator that sets a new standard in complex signal generation. Built on the same architecture as the single-channel model, the AP5042A provides two synchronized channels in a single compact instrument, ideal for the most demanding applications like quantum computing, MIMO and phased-array antenna testing, and electronic warfare environment simulation.
Each channel maintains outstanding performance, with superb signal purity, extremely low phase noise (-145 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz), and ultra-fast frequency agility. The instrument is capable of performing sweeps, chirps, frequency hopping, and generating complex waveforms with the internal I/Q modulator on both channels. The phase coherence between channels allows for the creation of realistic test scenarios for multiport devices, reducing the complexity and size of the test bench.
