Before plugging a fiber optic jumper into a server switch port or patch panel, it is mandatory procedure to verify the complete absence of dirt, skin oil, or chipping to prevent debris transfer onto the internal bulkhead adapter. This tip securely accepts the 1.25 mm ferrule terminal, allowing technicians to inspect the optical core at maximum magnification on the tester display for foolproof commissioning.
