Keysight FieldFox D-Series: Introduction to 26.5 GHz Handheld Microwave Analyzers

Posted by Batter Fly 09-12-2025 0 Comment(s) 503 Testen en Meten,

The new FieldFox D-Series from Keysight Technologies redefines the standard for handheld microwave analyzers. Designed to operate in the toughest environments, these instruments combine military-grade ruggedness with lab-grade performance, offering frequency coverage up to 26.5 GHz in the models presented here.

The D-Series introduces significant improvements in digital architecture, including a Linux-based operating system for enhanced security, SFP+ interfaces for high-speed data transfer (10 GbE), and a real-time analysis bandwidth of up to 120 MHz.

Connectivity and Advanced Analysis

The D-Series is built for the future of communications. Featuring dual SFP+ ports, it enables continuous (gapless) I/Q data streaming and ultra-high-speed remote control. With an optional analysis bandwidth of 120 MHz, these instruments are ideal for 5G spectrum monitoring, complex radar signal analysis, and over-the-air (OTA) digital demodulation.

Versatility: Combo Analyzer vs. Signal Analyzer

The FieldFox D family offers two main configurations to suit different operational needs:

  • Combination Analyzers (N991xD): The ultimate "all-in-one" solution. Includes Cable and Antenna Analyzer (CAT), Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), and Spectrum Analyzer (SA) as standard. Ideal for comprehensive maintenance of radar and satellite systems.
  • Signal Analyzers (N993xD): Focused on pure spectral analysis. Includes the Spectrum Analyzer as standard and is optimized for interference hunting, signal monitoring, and power measurements.
