The optical source of the Fluke SimpliFiber Pro series is a compact and rugged device designed to be paired with the power meter of the same line, allowing for fast and accurate optical loss and attenuation tests directly in the field. It leverages advanced technology that enables the emission of two frequencies from a single output port.
The SFMULTIMODESOURCE model is a multimode (MM) source operating at the stabilized wavelengths of 850 nm and 1300 nm. Its ability to send both signals simultaneously allows the SimpliFiber Pro power meter to automatically detect the wavelength and perform the test at both frequencies in a single fast sweep, eliminating manual steps and reducing operational errors.
