Posted by Batter Fly 01/07/2025 0 Comment(s) 898 Test & Measurement,

The KEYSIGHT E4360 Modular Solar Array Simulator series is the ideal solution for accurate simulation of solar arrays in space, industrial, and research applications. With a modular and compact platform, this series allows you to test satellite power systems, photovoltaic microinverters, and power conversion devices under real and repeatable conditions, quickly simulating I-V curves and varying environmental conditions. The E4360 offers up to two independent outputs in just 2U of rack space, up to 600 W per module, and modern connectivity for integration into any automated test bench or laboratory.

Key Features

  • Up to 2 independent outputs in just 2U of rack space
  • Up to 600 W per output, 1200 W total per mainframe
  • Accurate simulation of I-V curves via SAS mode (Voc, Isc, Vmp, Imp parameters), Table (up to 4000 points), and Fixed mode
  • Ultra-fast I-V curve change (as fast as 30 ms, selectable resolution)
  • Management of up to 512 pre-programmed I-V curve lists and hardware synchronization across multiple modules
  • Integrated voltage and current measurement on each output, datalogging up to 10 readings/s
  • Advanced protection: overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, fault response in less than 10 μs
  • Standard LAN, USB, GPIB interfaces; built-in web server for remote browser control
  • Modular configuration: E4360A mainframe and E4361A (65 V, 8.5 A, 510 W) and E4362A (130 V, 5 A, 600 W) modules
  • Easy output paralleling for higher power/current and auto-parallel configuration up to 4 modules
  • LIST function for automatic testing and simulation of dynamic conditions (eclipse, shading, spin, etc.)
  • Upgradeable firmware, IVI-COM drivers and configuration software included
  • Rack kit, filler panel, and a wide range of options and accessories

Small, Fast, and Flexible
The E4360 Modular Solar Array Simulator (SAS) is a dual output programmable DC power source that simulates the output characteristics of a solar array. The E4360 SAS is primarily a current source with very low output capacitance and is capable of quickly simulating the I-V curve of different arrays under different conditions.
