This kit is designed to easily and completely create an electrostatic discharge (ESD) protected workstation. It is ideal for electronics laboratories, assembly areas, repair stations, and any environment where ESD protection is essential for safeguarding sensitive electronic components.

The kit typically includes:

• ESD Bench Mat:
  • Dimensions: 90 cm wide and 60 cm deep. These dimensions provide an adequate work surface for various electronic activities.
  • Material: Made from high-quality static-dissipative multilayer material. The top layer is dissipative (with a specific surface resistivity between 10⁷ and 10⁹ Ohms), allowing electrostatic charges to dissipate in a controlled and safe way. The bottom layer is conductive, facilitating grounding.

  • Function: Allows the operator to be grounded, preventing the accumulation of electrostatic charges on the body that could discharge onto sensitive components.
  • Typical components:
    • An adjustable elastic band to wear on the wrist, containing conductive fibers in contact with the skin to ensure good electrical connection.
    • A coiled cable with a snap connector for connecting to the band and another connector for connection to the ground point or a dedicated ground socket.
