The Fluke NFC-SWABS-2.5MM cleaning swabs represent the benchmark consumable for removing contamination from fiber optic end-faces recessed inside bulkhead adapters, patch panels, and networking cards utilizing standard 2.5 mm diameter ferrules. They are engineered to operate seamlessly across the vast majority of alignment sleeves supporting SC, ST, and FC connectivity standards.
The swab head is wrapped in a specialized lint-free technical cloth, dimensioned precisely to conform to the inner walls of the alignment sleeve and make full contact with the ferrule core installed on the backside of the panel. Utilized dry or in direct combination with a micro-drop of the NFC-SOLVENTPEN, they lift off stubborn oil films and atmospheric debris prior to OTDR certification or network patch cord insertion.
